Defined by a natural depth of flavor from the soil

The earth

The Netherlands is one of the world’s ten largest potato producers - even though the country is only slightly larger than Småland in size. This is due to a temperate climate combined with unique soil conditions. The country is also at the forefront of both developing potato varieties and optimizing their cultivation.

By planting the finest potato for pommes frites in the premier maritime clay soil along the Dutch North Sea coast, an exclusive raw ingredient is created, resulting in flavorful, natural pommes frites with perfect crispiness, completely free of additives.

The potato

Our potato has been developed with a single goal in mind - premium pommes frites. The clay soil gives the potato a low moisture content, ensuring that the fries don’t become soggy inside. At the same time, our Agria variant has a very high starch content, making the fries light and airy. It also has a distinct and delicious potato flavor and achieves a golden color when fried.

Production

After harvest, our potatoes are stored unwashed at the farmer’s farm, as the surrounding clay soil provides protection and ensures a long shelf life. The potatoes are then regularly transported to our production partner near the farm. There, they are washed and cut to the correct size before being par-fried in oil of the highest quality (high oleic). They are then frozen and packed in 2.5 kg bags, with each carton containing 4 bags (10 kg) for direct delivery to our customers.
